Perfect shooting from Glynn leads Wildcats to 59-43 victory over Blugolds

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Rookie Bree Glynn continues to improve on her debut season scoring a career-best 16 points in St. Catherine's 59-43 victory over non-conference visitors, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Glynn shot 100 percent from the field and was 2 for 2 from the line in thirty-three minutes on the court.

To go along with her perfect shooting, Glynn recorded six rebounds, two steals, and an assist while defensively overpowering the Blugolds throughout the game. Glynn's rookie classmate, Cierra Ahlf along with senior Jackie Radford forced a combined eight turnovers leading the team with four each.

After scoring just four points in the first 10 minutes, the Wildcats went onto score 23 in the second quarter taking a 27-19 lead going into the half. The Wildcats returned to the court tallying another 20 points in the third quarter compared to the Blugolds just five, improving the lead to 47-24. Wisconsin-Eau Claire rallied back in the fourth and final quarter outscoring St. Catherine 19-12, however, it wasn't enough to overcome the scoring gap built in the second and third quarter by the Wildcats.

Senior Danica Cambrice was shot 5 for 8 from the field and 100 percent from the free-throw line. Cambrice continued her double-digit streak with 13 points, making one of two three-point attempts. The Wildcats' leading scorer also had seven boards, one assist, and one steal.

The Wildcats shot 86.7% from the line as a team making 13 of 15 attempts scoring 19 points off of turnovers with 21 points from off the bench.

St. Catherine will play one final game in 2019 hosting Bethany Lutheran on December 31st at 3 pm.  After that, the Wildcats will return to conference play on January 4, 2020, with Hamline University coming to Butler Center for a 3 pm game.
