ST. PAUL, Minn. - Head coach
Todd Nelson has designated Saturday's match against Gustavus Adolphus as the St. Kate's Volleyball Alumnae match. The Wildcats and Gusties take the court at 3 p.m. in the midday conference match-up.
Headed into tomorrow's match, the Wildcats are 0-4 in conference play and 7-6 on the season. The Gustavus Adolphus College Golden Gusties are 4-0 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and 13-2 this season dropping matches to Trinity and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
St. Kate's has had a busy week starting off with a three set sweep on the road of Martin Luther College followed by a 3 set loss of conference opponent Augsburg University on Wednesday. The Gusties were quiet busy themselves as they took down Macalester College on Thursday night in a three set match.
The last time the Wildcats and Gusties met was on September 30, 2017 in St. Peter, Minnesota. The Gusties swept the Wildcats in three with senior
Mackenzie Peper (Osceola, Wis.) leading for St. Kate's with 7 kills. The last time the Wildcats beat Gustavus was on October 8, 2010 inside of
Butler Center.
Immediately following the match tomorrow, Wildcat Volleyball Alumnae are welcome to join the St. Kate's Volleyball team and their families in the Varsity Athlete Lounge for a pot luck dinner in their honor.
