ST. PAUL, Minn. - It was a tough battle Wednesday afternoon for St. Catherine University soccer with the Carleton College Knights in St. Paul. The Wildcats and Knights finished the 110 minute game scoreless with St. Kate's doubling Carleton's shots with 24 to their 12. With this tie, the Wildcats are now 3-2-2 and 1-1-2 in conference play.

Sophomore forward Lauren Witte (Lakeville, Minn. / Lakeville North) had a career best 8 shots and 5 shots on goal what resulted in nearly the same totals as the entire Carleton team combined. Assisting in the Wildcats efforts as home was junior forward Allie Bird (Maple Grove, Minn.) with 4 shots and 3 shot on goal. Witte is currently leading the team in shots on goal this season with 17 total while Bird ranks 1st in shots with 24.

Carleton challenged St. Kate's throughout the game playing a physical game on both ends.
