ST. PAUL, Minn. - After back to back conference matches the Wildcats (3-0-1, 1-0-1 MIAC) head south for a non-conference game against Coe College (4-2-1).  This past week, St. Kate's took on Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) rival, Augsburg University to open the conference season with a 1-0 at home on Tuesday, September 11. After that, the Wildcats were scheduled for a 1 p.m. game at Macalester College on Saturday, September 15 but due to excessive heat concerns, the game was moved to an evening match resulting in a 1-1 tie after 2OT. 

A member of the American Rivers Conference, formerly the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Coe College Kohawks, have won their last three games outscoring their opponents 6-1. The Kohawks are 4-2-1 and with one of those loses going to MIAC member Saint Mary's University-Minnesota, falling to the Cardinals 3-1 at home on September 9. The Wildcats face the Cardinals later this season in Winona. 

The matchup on Wednesday will be a first for both teams as they have never appeared on each other's schedule. Headed into tomorrow's game, St. Kate's is currently the top team in the MIAC

On the other side of the field, Coe ranks fourth among other ARC teams with their starting goalie earning ARC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors last week. Similar to the Wildcats Tayler Koop (Blaine, Minn.), Coe's Kacey Baker allowed just one goal last week. 

Koop is coming off a rewarding performance last week as she spent 200 minutes in the net last week, stopping 7-of-8 shots on goal in a win and a tie for the Wildcats. In 380 minutes between the posts this season, Koop has only allowed one goal.
