MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. - In game two of the series with the University of St. Thomas, the St. Catherine University Wildcat hockey team was defeated 6-0 on Saturday afternoon.
In the first conference road game of the 2018-19 season, St. Kate's was unable get a goal passed the Tommies senior goaltender again in game two.
First-year goalie
Karly Schmidt (Delano, Minn.) started in her first conference game allowing three goals in the first period for the Wildcats. St. Kate's switched goalies after the first period as the Wildcats first-year goalie,
Elizabeth Kubicek (Chanhassen, Minn. / Minnetonka) came in for the last 40 minutes of play.
Senior forward
Laken Muller (Inver Grove Heights, Minn. / Simley) led again for the Wildcats in shots with 7 on goal against the Tommies.
St. Kate's is back on the ice again on Friday, November 30 in a conference matchup with No. 3 Hamline University at 3:15 p.m. at Drake Arena in St. Paul.
