ST. PAUL, MINN. – At the start of the season, the St. Catherine University softball team was picked to finish as one of the top four teams in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). On Thursday, the Wildcats look to solidify their place in the conference standings, as they travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota to take on the Augsburg College Auggies in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) play.
If the weather holds, game one of the doubleheader is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. at Edor Nelson field, home of the Auggies football, soccer, and softball teams.

George.476 with seven extra base hits, including three home runs. In St. Kate's 10-4 comeback win over St. Thomas, George was 3-5 with two runs and 3 RBIs and nearly helped the Wildcats sweep the Tommies with a home run and a double in game two. George's hit two other monster home runs over the weekend, including a grand slam in St. Kate's 12-0 win over Bethel. She currently leads the MIAC in RBIs (34) and home runs (6) and is second in batting average (.476).
6 – Augsburg pitcher Samantha Anderson ranks in the top-5 in the MIAC in six positive pitching statistics, including wins (9) and strikeouts (82). She currently leads the conference in complete games, both overall (15) and in MIAC play (6).
30 – The Wildcats score the majority of their runs in the first and fourth innings of games this season. St. Kate's has scored 30 innings in the first and fourth innings this season and outscored its opponents 60-23 in those two innings alone.
