The St. Catherine University softball team was scheduled to take on Augsburg College in its home opener this Sunday, April 6. Unfortunately, a cold winter has left the Wildcats' home field unplayable at this point in the season and forced rescheduling of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) doubleheader.
The two teams will still compete on Sudnay, but the games will now be played in Augsburg's Dome over Edor Nelson Field in Minneapolis. The first game is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. with the second estimated around 1 p.m. St. Catherine will serve as the home team for both contests. Fans planning to attend the game should bring their own chairs as there is not seating available in the dome.
The Wildcats are currently scheduled to take on St. Olaf College Thursday in a 3:30 p.m. doubleheader in Northfield, Minn. *The doubleheader postponed against the College of Saint Benedict will now take place on Sunday, April 27 at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph, Minn. Additional information about rescheduled and postponed games will be posted when available.
