Box Score The St. Catherine University volleyball team faced a tough test in nationally-ranked No. 13 Augsburg College Wednesday night. And despite their best efforts, the Wildcats couldn't slow down the high-powered Auggie offense as they came up just short in falling 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-19) in the
Butler Center.
The Auggies – who have won 20 of their last 21 matches and improve to 8-1 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) – hit a combined .301 against the Wildcats with two players reaching double-digit kill performances and hitting above .400.

Shanee Herd (Alexandria, Minn.) had her best dig performance in a MIAC match since the Wildcats win over Carleton. The first-year came up with 16 digs, a service ace and a kill, while
Shelby Rachel (Maple Lake, Minn.) added 10 digs.
Amber Zeiher (LeSueur, Minn.) was solid in the middle for the Wildcats as she helped knock down two of the Wildcats three blocks and led the team in kills with five. The sophomore also hit .364 and committed just one error.
Jana Christensen (North Mankato, Minn.) also had five kills to add tothe Wildcats' offensive attack and added two block assists.
Maddy Mullins (Caledonia, Minn.),
Abigail Palmer (Pequot Lakes, Minn.) and
Alyssa Besch (Lakeville, Minn.) each added four kills.
Karsee Knutson (New London, Minn.) helped set up the Wildcat attack with 14 assists and added a kill of her own, while
Jordyn Wentland (Blaine, Minn.) dished out five assists and a block assist.
The Wildcats return to home MIAC action Saturday as they take on Hamline University at 3 p.m. in the
Butler Center.
