Softball splits with Bethany Lutheran Thursday

The Wildcats hosted Bethany Lutheran College Thursday afternoon in a non-conference match up.  After two scoreless innings to start the first game, St. Kate's scored three in the bottom of the third.  Their lead would be short-lived as the Vikings would score five in the top of the fourth.

The good news, the Vikings wouldn't score again in the game. The bad, that's all the offense they'd need to seal the victory. St. Kate's would add another run in the bottom of the fourth to cut the lead to one, but couldn't find a way to plate anyone else.

The second game again showed Bethany only scoring in one inning, the second, when they went up 2-0.  The Wildcats would get things rolling in the third and never look back, scoring six runs in the next four innings for the 6-2 win.

Morgan Bohmbach was stellar once again from the mound, locking up her fourth win of the young season.  Shae Elliott went 3-3 from the plate with one run and two RBI in game two.

The Wildcats host Hamline Saturday afternoon at 1:00.
