The Wildcats finished their weekend with a solid 2-2 tie at St. Thomas Saturday afternoon. Once again, it was the seniors who stepped up to help the team secure three of four points on the weekend.
The Tommies scored early in the first period on an even strength goal by Kristen Grossman at 2:49.

Meghan Lange tied it up at 15:08 on a power play goal. Fellow senior captain
Michaela Michaelson assisted on the play.
As time was winding down in the opening period, St. Thomas added their second, and final, goal of the game.
The second period saw ten penalties, but no goals, as both teams fought for momentum.
The struggle for momentum continued throughout the third period. In fact, there were no penalties or goals until the waning seconds of the game. Finally, at the 19:20 mark of the game Michaelson once again showed why she is one of the best players in the conference. She score the game tying goal with an assist from
Bridget Braastad.
The overtime period would have no penalties, and only one shot apiece as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Another Wildcat senior,
Mel Gerten, also played great. She stopped 25 of 27 shots on goal.
