Soccer ends season at Hamline

The soccer team ended their 2011 season against Hamline on Saturday afternoon.  The Pipers got one goal early and one goal late to lift them to a 2-0 win over the Wildcats.  Hamline moved to 10-5-3 with the win, while the Wildcats fell to 1-17.

The Pipers struck relatively early in the contest, with Aileen Scheibner scoring at the 10 minute mark.  There was no scoring for almost the entire rest of the game, until Hamline scored a second goal with only five minutes remaining.  The Wildcat defense showed how much they've improved over the season, limiting the Pipers to only 10 shots on goal and keeping them away from the nets for most of the contest.  Goalie Abbey Hinton made eight saves.

The Wildcats had a few of their own scoring chances, with Bri Coulter leading the way with four shots on goal.
