Soccer falls to UW Stout

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, the Wildcats took on UW Stout in a non-conference game, falling 3-1.  Kelsey Moll scored the Wildcats only goal, as the team fell to 6-6-1, while Stout improved to 6-6-1.

Returning to the field less than 24 hours after the conclusion of their game against Gustavus, the Wildcats and Blue Devils played an evenly matched first half.  The Blue Devils struck first midway through the first half when Jess Lankford scored off an assist from Becky Glass.  The Wildcats evened up the score just before halftime, as Jamie Kelly found Moll for the equalizer.

Coming out after halftime, the effects of two games in two days began to show, as the Blue Devils began to control the ball.  Courtney Tideman scored off a corner kick before Becky Glass put the game out of reach with a goal at 72 minutes.

The Wildcats return to conference play on Tuesday at the College of St. Benedict.
