In a season filled with near misses and heartbreaking losses, the St. Kate's soccer team showed their true colors securing a 3-0 win against a well coached and strong St. Olaf team. With the win the Wildcats improve to 6-7-3 overall, and 2-5-2 in MIAC play. St. Olaf falls to 11-5 overall and 6-3 in conference play.
Outstanding first year Christina Paik wasted no time in putting the Wildcats up 1-0. She scored what turned out to be the game winner at the 3:52 mark in the game with an assist from Koletta Dorsher.
With just under five minutes remaining in the first half Claire Saunders took a pass from Samantha Levercom and gave the Wildcats a 2-0 lead.
After assisting on the game opening goal, Dorsher closed out the scoring with a superb goal at the 77:38 mark in the game.
Kaitlin Kramer continued her strong play, her assist on Dorsher's goal was her fifth point in the last two games.
Despite being outshot 12-8, goalkeeper Bridget Berry and the rest of the Wildcats defenders turned away every Ole scoring opportunity.
St. Kate's enters the final week of the season when they host Carleton College on Wednesday at 3:30.
