Outdoor Fields and Courts
The St. Catherine University athletics programs have several on campus outdoor facilities. All of the outdoor fields and courts are located southeast of the Butler Center near the O'Shaugnessy parking lot (campus map). The outdoor facilities include six tennis courts, a fenced softball field, fenced soccer field, a track and field throws cage and a cross country course.
Tennis Courts
St. Catherine houses six outdoor hard tennis courts that are primarily used by the Wildcat tennis team. Courts are also used by local tennis clubs and are open for campus community members when the facilities are not in use. Schedules are posted on a bulletin board located on the east end of the courts.
Softball Field
The Wildcat softball team practices and competes on the field located immediately south of the tennis courts. The field was recently upgraded with a new scoreboard, fence and windscreens.
Soccer Field
The Wildcat soccer team practices and competes on the field located immediately southeast of the tennis court. The field is one of the best natural grass fields in the MIAC.
Track and Field Throws Cage
The Wildcat track and field team has access to a throws cage that is located immediately south of Stanton Residence Hall.
Cross Country Course
St. Catherine is the only MIAC school in the Twin Cities with its own cross country course located on campus. The course is used by the Wildcat cross country team for practice and occasional meets. Other local colleges and high schools also host meets on the course
