Third year team captain Aryn Ball has been named Wildcat Athlete of the Week after helping the St. Kate’s hockey team sweep Augsburg College during the opening weekend of conference play. Ball had a hat trick on Friday night as the wildcats opened their M.I.A.C. season with a 4-0 victory.  

Ball wasted no time putting the Wildcats on top as she scored a power play goal at the 11:05 mark of the first period to put the team ahead for good. Six minutes later she scored on another power play making it 2-0 at the first intermission. Ball then completed her hat trick in the second period to close out the scoring for the game.

Ball now has 26 career goals as she continues to help elevate the SCU hockey program, which is off to its best start in a decade.

After the Thanksgiving Holiday break the Wildcats host St. Mary’s December 4 at 7:00 pm at Ridder Arena.
