Lauren Skar | So., Volleyball | Leadership and Service
Sophomore volleyball student-athlete Lauren Skar earns her first Fleur-de-lis Award of her career for her dedication and work with the “I Will Vote” initiative throughout St. Kate’s campus. Skar has taken it upon herself to encourage and educate student-athletes, teams, and coaches about the importance of civic engagement through voting in this year's elections. She put together presentation materials and met with various teams. For those teams she was unable to meet with, Lauren made sure those coaches had the materials and talking points in order to present the "I Will Vote" initiative to their teams as part of her work as the Civic Engagement Collective Fellow with the St. Kate’s Community Work and Learning group.
