Earning her first Fleur-de-lis Award is senior student-athlete Alyssa Siljendahl helping the Wildcats to the No. 2 spot in the MIAC with an overall record of 10-5 and 6-2 against conference foes. Siljendahl has recorded over 860 minutes this season starting 11 of the 15 games on the schedule as a dominate holding midfielder. In a position that doesn’t show up in the box score, Siljendahl organizes the team around her defensively, wins countless loose balls and balls in the air, and is also responsible for shutting down our opponent’s best linking players. Without her presence on the field we are not as defensively sound or as dangerous in the attack. Alyssa is a strong team leader and the biggest competitor on the field.
