Rising sophomore Jade Le Bris had an eventful summer training for and competing in the 2019 IPC Swimming World Championships for her home country of France in her first major international competition. In pursuit of getting a shot at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, Le Bris competed in the 400-meter freestyle race at the 2019 World Championships held in London earlier this month, finishing 7th in the preliminary round finishing with a time of 5:13.99 and 8th in the finals event with a lifetime best time of 5:13.99.  Le Bris also appeared in the women’s 100-meter backstroke finishing 12th with a time of 1:26.61 and in the 100-meter freestyle finishing in 15th with a time of 1:13.76.
