St. Catherine first-year swimmer Maggie Menso left a mark on the 2019 NCAA Championships landing the Wildcats’ first All-American honor on the first day of the championships. In total, Menso had three All-American finishes including being a member of the 400-yard freestyle relay team along with Grohman and Klein, plus two individual honors, Menso swam a lifetime best split of 51.55 in the 400-yard freestyle relay record setting event. Her top performance of the championship came in the 1,650-yard freestyle race finishing 3rd overall to be named a two-time individual All-American. Her first honor from day one was in the 500-yard freestyle event finishing 5th overall in Division III. Menso was also part of the Wildcats All-American Honorable Mention 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished 12th. Aside from her All-American performances, Menso also appeared in the 200-yard freestyle finishing 17th, and the 200-yard freestyle relay event swimming a lifetime best split of 24.21. This is Menso’s third Fleur-de-lis Award this season.
