Elsie Lundquist (Track & Field): Lundquist earns her second straight Fleur-de-lis honor after her outstanding athletic performance at the Tommie Showdown on February 9. The first year standout from Pine City, Minnesota continued her outstanding rookie season by breaking St. Kate’s school record in triple. Lundquist’s jump of 10.64 meters completely shattered the old record of 10.45 and helped her finish in fourth overall. After the weekend, Lundquist ranks fifth overall in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) in the event.

Autumn Mortenson (Softball): Mortenson garners her first Fleur-de-lis honor thanks to her academic success off the softball field. Over the summer, Mortenson did extensive research in mathematics, studying theta twists and their involution on alternating sets. Her research was accepted to the National Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics, which Mortenson and her research partners presented at in January. Mortenson’s research was also accepted to another conference in Minnesota and will be published in an undergraduate mathematics journal later this year.

Jackie Radford (Basketball): Radford is the third basketball player to earn Fleur-de-lis honors this year for her outstanding commitment to the team throughout the 2017-18 season. Radford is the lone student-athlete to start all 23 games for the Wildcats this season and has played a significant role in the team’s success. She scored in double digits twice in the month of February, including a career-high 19 in a loss to St. Thomas and 16 in Saturday’s win over Hamline. Radford has also ranked in the top-10 in the MIAC in rebounds per game all season long, currently ranking seventh with a 7.7 average.
