Sarah Vrudny has been named Wildcat Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performances at last week's home meet.

The first year student-athlete from Salida Colorado swam two personal bests at the St. Kate's Mini Invitational. She finished first in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:22.49. Vrudny then came back and set another personal best on her way to a third place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:12.45).

Along with her individual success, Vrudny joined with teammates Jennifer Lippitt, Bridget Perkins and Mary Walters to finish third in both the Medley Relay and the Free Relay.

Sarah is a nursing major at St. Kate's. She is the Daughter of St. Kate's alumna Elizabeth, and Tim Vrudny (a fromer swimmer at the University of Minnesota).
