Tayler Koop (Soccer): Koop earned the Fleur-de-lis award for first time in her career Tuesday afternoon after playing the best soccer of her collegiate career over the last two weeks. Koop recorded two shutout wins in three games, including a big 1-0 shutout Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) rival the University of St. Thomas. Koop helped St. Kate’s soccer beat the Tommies for the first time in program history by making 12 saves in 90 minutes of play. Koop also made several game saving plays in Saturday’s upset, including three one on one saves in the second half. Over the past two weeks, Koop has made 14 saves in MIAC play and posted a 2-1-0 record with two shutouts.
Mary Jane Voss (Swimming & Diving): Voss received the Fleur-de-lis award for the first time this season for her incredible athletic and leadership accomplishments in the pool over the weekend. Voss led the Wildcats at the MIAC Pentathlon on Friday, October 13 and won the event as an individual for the first in her career. Voss was the top point scorer among the 50 student-athletes competing in the meet and was the only swimmer to finish in the top-5 in every event she competed in. Voss finished second in the 100 butterfly (1:04.19), 100 IM (1:05.99) and the 100 breaststroke (1:15.99) to start her final season and finished fourth in both the 100 backstroke (1:05.88) and 100 freestyle (58.34). Additionally, Voss is a captain of the swimming and diving team.
