First year volleyball player Callie Teigen has been named the Wildcat Athlete of the Week. Teigen led the team with 59 digs in 5 games, including 48 digs at the UW-Oshkosh Tournament.

In the Wildcats first game last week, versus Macalester, Teigen led the team with 11 digs. That 3-1 victory helped St. Kate's move into a tie for ninth in the conference.

Callie followed that up by averaging 12.00 digs a game at the UW-Oshkosh Tournament. For her efforts in Oshkosh, she was named to her first collegiate all-tournament team.
For the season, Teigen leads the Wildcats with 291 digs (13.86 digs/game).

More important than her statistical achievements, Callie's continued development at the libero position was critical to the Wildcats going 4-1 last week, and helped raise the Wildcats record to 10-11 on the year.

Callie is a Sign Language Interpretation major at St. Kate's. She is the oldest of  Greg and Rishelle Teigen's three children.
