Megan Ahlbrecht (So. Gibbon, Minn.) has been named the Wildcat athlete of the week for her strong all-around play at the Molten Pikes Peak Tournament this past weekend.
In four games, Ahlbrecht had 46 kills, 27 digs and 9 blocks. Her 46 kills put her at #2 in the MIAC after the opening weekend of play. Her 3.07 kills per game average is 7th in the conference. For the Wildcats, Megan leads the team with a .248 kill percentage, is second on the team in digs, and third on the team in blocks.
Coach Hess was very pleased with the continued improvement in Megan's play. Hess noted that, "it is always great to see a student-athlete realize what they are capable of if they work hard and really apply themselves, and Megan has started to do that over the past year. We are all excited to see how far she can go because there is no question that she is not done improving."
Ahlbrecht will look to continue her strong play this weekend when the Wildcats travel to River Falls, Wis. for the Falcon Volleyball Tournament.
