As if Jenna Nagy's (Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson) sophomore season could get any better for the St. Catherine University swimming and diving team, she showed her dominance in the Minnesota Intercolelgiate Athletic Confernce (MIAC) as she finally put her mark on the Wildcat record books this weekend setting three new records Saturday at the St. Kate's Invite in the Butler Center. For her achievement, she has been named the Wildcat Athlete of the Week.

After having qualified for the NCAA diving zones on both boards in consecutive weeks, Nagy outdid herself sweeping the diving events Saturday in record fashion. First, on the 1-meter board, the reigning MIAC Diver-of-the-Year scored 271.00 in her opening six dives to break Kim Manke's 2006 record of 269.55. Then, she shattered Sarah Moody's previous 11-dive score of 426.20 from 2011 with her winning mark of 445.40 that was 61 points better than the runner-up in the event.

On the 3-meter baord, Nagy was just as impressive winning the event by a margin of 53 points over the next diver with a score 451.25 to move past Alivia Bavier's 2013 record of 442.80. With that mark and her tally from the 1-meter board, Nagy now owns the best 11-dive scores in the MIAC so far this season.

The Wildcat swimmers finished competing Saturday leading up to the MIAC Championships beginning Feb. 19, while Nagy is scheudle to compete once more at the University of Minnesota Challenge Saturday.
