The College of St. Catherine athletic department is pleased to announce that Greta Sieve has been named Wildcat Athlete of the Week for her performance at Saturday’s Manitou Classic in Northfield.

The sophomore from New Ulm, Minn. finished the 3000 meter steeplechase in a time of 11:32.97, shattering the school record in the event. Sieve’s time was one minute and twenty seconds better than the previous record.

Head coach Mike Henderson is pleased by the performance of Sieve, as well as the rest of his squad, though this point in the season. "Her hard work and commitment to the team, and to her individual performance, is a perfect example of what is making this track season one of the best in St. Kate's history," stated Henderson. “As a coach it is a lot of fun to see the great performances and how each member of this team works to get better every day,” added Henderson.

The Wildcats are back in action April 26 at the Macalester Invitational.
