The College of St. Catherine athletic department is pleased to announce that Jamie Wenzel has been named Wildcat Athlete of the Week for her performance last week at the Ole Open. The 2008 version of the Wildcat track & field team continued their assault on the St. Kate's record books when the first-year runner from Lake City, Minn. became the latest Wildcat to put her name atop the list of record holders. Wenzel set new school records in both the 200 and 400 meter races. Wenzel's time in the 400 moves her to the number two spot on the MIAC performance list, and with her time of 26.80 in the 200, she becomes only the third MIAC athlete this season to break the 27.00 mark.
