Steffanie Jurusik's outstanding performance in the 400 IM at the MIAC Championships has earned her the title of Athlete of the Week. This was the first individual win by a Wildcat swimmer in 20 years. Her impressive time of 4:35.70 set a new school record and also met the NCAA B qualifying standard.

In addition to her conference title, Steff was also the runner up in the 200 IM race, swimming a 2:09.73. She also had a strong showing in the 200 back, where she took sixth with a time of 2:08.27. Jurusik was part of the 200 medley relay team and the 200 free relay team that each placed sixth, as well as the 400 medley relay team that took fifth. The Wildcats came away with an overall team score of 235, earning a sixth place finish.
