Jamie Kelly has been selected as the Wildcat Athlete of the Week after her outstanding performance at the St. Thomas Invitational on Friday. Kelly, a senior captain, picked up a win in the shot put with an impressive throw of 12.28 meters (40' 3.5'). The mark currently ranks #2 in the MIAC, #3 in St. Kate's history and #22 in the country.

Kelly missed the 2011 season due to an injury, yet she showed no rust as she stepped back into the throwing circle. She led the way for the Wildcat team as they took on the competition in their first meet of the season. The team gets back to the action Feb 4th at the Bethel Invitational.
