Brittni Wangerin has been named Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance at the Wildcats season opening volleyball tournament in Stevens Point, Wisc.

Wangerin finished the weekend with 40 digs, 38 kills, six aces and three block assists. The junior outside hitter hit .337 for the tournament and helped St. Kate's finish 3-1 on the weekend.

Wangerin will be looking to build on her strong start as the Wildcats have five games this week, including a home tournament this Friday and Saturday. The St. Kate's Invite gets under way at 3pm on Friday. The Wildcats are scheduled to play at 5:00pm and 7:00pm on Friday before returning to play at Noon and 2:00pm on Saturday.
