The Wildcats headed across town on Friday evening to take on St. Thomas, the top ranked squad in the MIAC and number thirteen in the nation. The Tommies showed why they are tops in the conference, downing the Wildcats in three sets.
St. Thomas led from the get-go, taking the first set 25-10, and winning the second set 25-14. They finished off the victory with a 25-20 third set.
Brittni Wangerin and
Nicole Neumann each compiled 13 digs for the Wildcats.
Stephanie Meschke and
Kayla Sis both had eight kills for the Wildcats offensively.
With the loss, the Wildcats sit at 6-19, 3-5 in MIAC play. The Tommies are 22-4, 8-1 in the MIAC.
The Wildcats return to their home court on Saturday when they square off against Augsburg at 3 pm.
