Nicole Hess

The 2009 season will be Nicole Hess' seventh season leading the Wildcats Volleyball program. Coach Hess took over a program that was in the rebuilding stages and has worked tirelessly to build a more skilled and competitive program. Her hard work has been paying off as the team continues to improve. The past two years the Wildcats have eclipsed the ten win mark for the first time since 1996. During the 2008 season Hess also helped Maria Hoffman earn All-Conference honors for the second consecutive season and Megan Ahlbrecht set the St. Kate's single season record for kills (340).

Prior to coming to St. Kate’s, Hess spent one season as an assistant coach at the University of St. Thomas. While there she helped the Tommies win the MIAC championship.

Coach Hess earned her B.A. in social studies education from St. Olaf College in 2002. While at St. Olaf Hess earned MIAC All-Conference honors four times, was named to the All-Region volleyball team three times, and was named to both the Lutheran Brotherhood and AVCA All-America teams her senior year.
