Biography

I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: I'm proud to be in the presence of some amazing student-athlete women. 

What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine?: All of the people I have met and friends I have made. I also love how close we are as a team. I also have the opportunity to be a part of something outside of my athletics. 

2014-15: The 2014-15 season will be Hesla's last a Wildcat swimmer. 

2013-14: Hesla swam on the sixth-place 800 Freestyle Relay at the MIAC Championships and also competed individually in the 100 and 200 Freestyle events. Throughout the season, hesla had career-best swims in the 500, 1000 and 1650 Freestyle as well as the 100 Backstroke. She also earned Academic All-MIAC honors.  

2012-13:
Hesla swam career-best times in the 500, 100, 200 and 500 Freestyle, as well as the 100 Backstroke, 100 Butterfly and the 100 and 200 Breaststroke. She also competed at the MIAC Championships in the 50, 100 and 200 Freestyle and the 200 Freestyle Relay. 

2011-2012: Hesla swam career best times in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle.

High School: Hesla attended South High school and was a three-year letter winner in swimming. She was also team captain senior year.  At South, Rosia was a part of GSA@School and Peer Education.

Personal: Hesla is a biology education major. She is the daughter of Jaimie Bennett and Bret Hesla.
