Jake Dunn

Jake Dunn will join the St. Catherine University swimming and diving program as diving coach for the 2015-16 season following many successful years coaching within the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).

In his second season with St. Kate's, Dunn helped Wildcat diver Jenna Nagy reach the NCAA Regional Diving Zones for the fourth consecutive season and advance to the National Championships for the first time in her career. Under Dunn's tutelge, Nagy was named MIAC Diver of the Year for the third time in her career as well after winning the 3-meter and 1-meter boards at the conference championships in February. 
 
Prior to joining St. Kate's ataff, Dunn spent five seasons coaching at Macalester College where he led Renee Jordan to a NCAA title on the 1-meter board in 2014. With Dunn’s guidance, Jordan earned All-America honors three times in her career making two appearances at the NCAA Championships. She was MIAC Champion in back-to-back seasons in 3-meter diving, selected as MIAC Diver-of-the-Year in 2012-13 and earned five All-MIAC honors.
 
In addition to leading Jordan to years of success, Dunn also helped several other divers to All-MIAC honors and one additional MIAC title. For his efforts, Dunn was named the MIAC Diving Coach-of-the-Year at both the 2013 and 2014 conference meets.
 
Before assuming his role at Macalester, Dunn found success within the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). In 2005, Dunn coached Sam Dalsin of Lakeville High School to Class AA state title and earned Section 1AA Diving Coach-of-the-Year. With the Minneapolis South girls team, Dunn also earned Section 5AA Diving Coach-of-the-Year honors in 2006.
 
Dunn is a 2002 graduate of St. Olaf College where he competed with the swimming and diving program. He was a 2002 All-MIAC and All-America finisher on the 1-meter board.
