Biography

2010: Kayla is a three-year letter winner in both soccer and track & field and returns for her final season.

2009: As a junior, Kayla played and started in all all 18 games. She also had 1 assist for the Wildcats. She earned Academic All-American honors for outdoor track.

2008: As a sophomore she was named most improved in soccer where she scored 1 goal and played in 17 games. She also won the team spirit award in track.

2007: As a first-year, Kayla played in 18 games for the Wildcats in a defensive position, she also had 1 assit.

She holds six school records in track, including the indoor and outdoor 800 and the indoor 600.

High School: Kayla earned three letters in soccer, was an all-state athlete in track, and was team captain in both soccer and track at Lakeville North High School.

Personal: Off the field she was active in NHS, Linkcrew and her church community. Her favorite books are the Harry Potter series and her favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Kayla and her twin sister Kim are the youngest of five children born to Stacia and David Engel. Kayla is a Nursing Major at St. Kate's.
