Biography

2014-15 Statistics

I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: I get to play the sport that I love with other Wildcats.

What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine?: Being able to represent St. Kate's not only as a student, but also as an athlete.

2017-18: In her final season with St. Kate's, Garcia earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors for the first time in her career. She was second on the team in points per game (11.5) during the season and was the team's top offensive scorer during the month of January. Garcia scored a career-high 32 points in a game against Hamline, which ranks third all-time in single-game scoring in program history. Garcia ended her career with 478 total points, 190 rebounds, 58 assists and 45 steals for St. Kate's.

2016-17: In her third season with the Wildcats, Garcia played in 16 games and made 16 starts. She scored 149 points during the season and averaged a career high 9.3 points per game. Garcia ranked in the top-five on the team in scoring, 3-point shooting percentage, 3-point attempts and 3-point field goals made.

2015-16: In her second season with St. Kate's, Garcia played in 24 games and made three starts. She scored 47 points and shot 30.5% from the field to serve as one of the Wildcats top players off the bench. Garcia collected 40 rebounds, 23 of which came against MIAC opponents.

2014-15: After missing her first season due to injury, Garcia played in 18 games for the Wildcats. She scored 52 points and shot 30.9 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from 3-point range. She also had 17 rebounds and six steals.

High school: As a member of the Hopkins basketball team, Garcia helped the squad win three conference championships and three state championships during her four years. She was a two-year captain, earned all-conference honors during her senior season and lettered five times in basketball. She was also an honor roll student.

Personal: Garcia chose St. Kate's because of the campus and the opportunity to play collegiate basketball in close proximity to home. Garcia is an economics major and previously member of the Wildcat Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (WSAAC). She is also in the economics club. She is that daughter of Sheila and Albert Garcia.
