I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: I think the women at St. Kate's have done a wonderful job of giving the name "Wildcat" a connotation that is positive and stands for determination while demanding respect. 

2014-15: This will be Garcia's first season as a Wildcat dancer. 

High School: At Sonora, Garcia helped the team to two state championships in kick and one in large dance/drill. She was a CADTD all-star and scholarship recipient. She was voted the best performer on the team and was a senior captain. Outside of dance, she graduated with honors and earned the Sonora student of the year award. She was a three-year president of both the ukelele and environemental awareness clubs. She also volunteered with best buds, special needs classrooms, the arboretum and was a red ribbon week coordinator. 

Personal: Garcia chose to attend St. Kate's because of the welcoming feeling she had on her campus visit. She is the daughter of Maria Gutierrez.
