ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Head softball coach, Colleen Powers announced twelve incomers for the 2023 season roster Wednesday having graduated five Wildcats at the end of the 2022 season. 

"The incoming class for the 2022-2023 is a big and exciting addition to our program", said Powers. "There is power and speed offensively and experience at every defensive position which will add competitiveness and much needed depth. This new class will make an impact right away and we are lucky they chose St. Kate's!"

Natalee Sigfrids | SS/C | Superior, Wis./ Superior | Minnesota Force
Sigfrids was a three-sport athlete competing in volleyball and basketball as well as softball. She was named the Superior Spartan Female Athlete of the Year in 2021-22 and was the captain of the softball team. 

Helen McKinnon | IF/OF | Farmington, Minn. / Rosemount | Midwest Speed
Named to the Minnesota Breakdown Sports High School Softball Super 100 Senior List in 2022 and was a MSHSL Class AAAA State Champion in 2021. 

Tori Venneman | OF | St. Paul, Minn. / Hill-Murray | Midwest Speed
Capitan of her softball team and was a W.E.B leader at Hill-Murray High School. Venneman will also play hockey for the Wildcats. Her older sister Cassie was also on the Wildcat hockey and softball teams. 

Riley Leonhardt | P | Dayton, Minn. / Champlin Park | Minnesota Xtreme
Leonhardt was an All-Conference and All-Section player for the Patriots serving as team captain her senior season. 

Sam Aronson | IF | Elk River, Minn. / Rogers | Minnesota Force
The infielder was the team captain at Rogers High School playing club softball for the Minnesota Force with fellow incomers Sigfrids and Kohout. 

Kayla Olivas | C/IF | Phoneix, Ariz. / Greenway | Sidewinders
Was named First-Team All-Region and was the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year at Greenway High School. 

Katelyn Mosher | P/IF | Farmington, Minn. / Apple Valley | Lady Storm
Mosher was the softball team captain at Apple Valley High School. 

Kylee Kohout | C/IF | Woodbury, Minn. / East Ridge | Minnesota Force
Played club softball for the Minnesota Force with Sigfrids and Aronson receiving the honor of Varsity Teammate of the Year at East Ridge. 

Emma Loretz | IF | Anoka, Minn. / Elk River | River City Rush
Loretz is a two-sport athlete at Elk River High School competing in Cross Country as well as softball. She is a member of National Debate and was the captain of the River City Rush. 

Bella Scaia | C/IF | Chisolm, Minn. / Hibbing | Range Sports
Member of National Honor Society, Key Club and the Peer Mentoring Program. She will also play volleyball for the Wildcats. 

Elizabeth Van Lith | P/OF | Maple Grove, Minn / Maple Grove | Midwest Speed
Earned Ms. Crimson Award for being a good teammate at Maple Grove. She also earned the Lexi Kretsch Teammate Award while playing for the Midwest Speed. 

Sydney Colbert | P/IF | Richfield, Minn. / Richfield | 612 Fastpitch
Colbert was a three-sport athlete at Richfield competing in swimming and basketball as well as softball. She was the Spartan Softball team captain and was a All-Section Player. 

The Wildcats finished the 2022 season with an overall record of 22-18 finishing fourth overall in the MIAC returning to the conference playoffs for the sixth consecutive season. The incoming class will look to continue the success of the 2022 graduating class which included the 2019 MIAC Rookie of the Year, the 2021 MIAC Player of the Year, three All-Conference honorees and a two-time All-Conference Honorable Mention Pitcher.
