ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University cross country team competed in the 2022 MIAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday. The 6K race was held at Highland 9-hole Golf Course in St. Paul, Minnesota with the Wildcats finishing 12th overall.
St. Kate's top performer at the championship was junior
Brenna Nelson with a time of 26:39.83, good for 94th place. Nelson's finish this season was over 13 seconds faster than last year improving 23 places in the standings.
First-year
Brittany Breed was the second Wildcat to finish in Saturday clocking in at 26:55.51 to place 105th while fellow rookie
Jade Davis recorded a PR finish with a time of 27:18.7 coming in 119th.
Senior
Morgan Brandt was the fourth to finish coming in 148th with a time of 28:50.1. Just behind Brandt was sophomore
Lily Harvey improving from last season by one minute. Harvey's time of 28:51.3 landed her 150th, nine places higher than last season.
Senior
Megan Perkins recorded a time of 29:22.46 on Saturday to finish 158th and rookie
Teagan Schneider finished her first MIAC Championship with a PR time of 37:48.05 making a push at the end to finish 180th.
The Wildcats will compete in the NCAA Regional Championships November 12 in Northfield, Minnesota on the campus of St. Olaf College.
