ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Catherine University Wildcat soccer team finished out the regular season with a 2-1 victory over Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe, the Hamline University Pipers. The Wildcats finish the regular season with an overall record of 10-3-2 and 7-2-2 in conference play, the overall best finish in program history earning the No. 4 seed in the playoffs.
The Pipers were the first on the board getting one past junior goalie
Tayler Koop (Blaine, Minn.) in the 17th minute. St. Kate's outshot the Pipers sixteen to just six in the first 45 minutes of play.
Coming out of the half trailing by one, senior midfielder Kailtin Machovec (Woodbury, Minn. / North) picked up her sixth goal of the season and fourth in the last four games with an assist from first-year forward
Sofia Campbell (St. Paul, Minn. / Nova Classical Academy) just two minutes into the half.
Two minutes later junior midfielder
Alyssa Siljendahl (Duluth, Minn. / Hermantown) popped one over the goalies head from Campbell to pick up her first goal of the season and the game-winner.
Campbell's two assist game is her sixth assist of the season ranking her No. 7 in the conference for assists.
Leading offensively for the Wildcats in the victory were junior forward
Allie Bird (Maple Grove, Minn.) with six shots, four shots on goal and Machovec with five shots on goal.

Iryna Talkachova (Minsk, Belarus/ Shattuck St. Mary's), junior defender
Amanda Carey (Hudson, Wis.) and sophomore forward
Lauren Witte (Lakeville, Minn. / Lakeville North) each added three shots and two shots on goal.
Today's win earned the Wildcats the No. 4 seed in the MIAC Playoffs which are scheduled to begin next week. St. Kate's will face the College of Saint Benedict at home tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
