Allen named Athlete of the Week
First year pitcher Tianna Allen has been named Wildcat Athlete of the Week. The lefty from Alaska went 3-0 at the end of last week to help the Wildcats improve their record to 10-6 in MIAC play.
In the Wildcats' contests versus St. Olaf, Macalester and St. Mary's Allen pitched 23 innings and gave up only four earned runs. She also recorded her first collegiate shutout with a 3-0 win over Macalester. Allen held the opposing hitters to 21 hits while striking out 19 batters and not walking anyone. Her ERA over that stretch was 1.57 and improved her season record to 7-8.
Allen is the daughter of Dave and Jolene Allen. Tianna is a Chemical Engineering major at St. Kate’s.
