Nik Hess, the St. Kate's volleyball coach for the past seven seasons, has announced that she will be resigning her position as Wildcats volleyball coach effective immediately.
Hess, who led the Wildcats to a 6-5 MIAC record and was named MIAC co-coach of the year this past season, has resigned to pursue a coaching and administrative position at St. Ben's.
Despite her departure, the Wildcats volleyball program continues to have a bright future. The team only graduates one senior, and looks to continue to build upon the foundation that Coach Hess established.
Athletic director
Eric Stacey noted that, "We are grateful for everything Coach Hess has done to strengthen St. Kate's volleyball program, and are confident the next coach will be able to continue to raise the level of success at St. Catherine University."
A national search for the position will begin immediately.
