Competing for the final time before the MIAC championships, the St. Kate's swimming and diving team had six event champions, one NCAA qualifying mark and one school record on their way to a second place team finish the the two day Macalester Invitational.
Sarah Moody started things in fine fashion for the Wildcats. In the 1-Meter Diving competition Moody set a new St. Kate's school record and posted an NCAA Qualifying score of 407.10.
Shortly after the diving concluded, the swimmers hit the water and followed Moody's lead. The Wildcats won three relays and swept the top two places in three individual events on their way to accumulating 584.5 team points.
Steffanie Jurusik,
Allison Witt,
Bridget Perkins, and
Sarah Vrudny combined to win the 400 Medley Relay (4:17.70) the 200 Medley Relay (1:56.06) and the 200 Free Relay (1:43.17).
Jurusik (1:03.01) then led teammate
Mary Walters (1:05.96) to a 1-2 finish in the 100 Back.
Those two also finished first and second in the 200 Back, with Jurusik again touching first in 2:16.59 and Walters stopping the clock in 2:21.51.
Perkins (1:02.04) and teammate
Ashley Kramka (1:07.04) went 1-2 in the 100 Fly.
