Swimming concludes day 1 at Macalester
The St. Kate's swimming and diving team is in second place after day one of competition at the Macalester Invitational.
The Wildcats were led by a one-two finish in the 50 Fly as
Bridget Perkins (27.53) and
Steffanie Jurusik (28.63) out-raced the rest of the field.
Jurusik also picked up a win in the 50 Back (29.63).
Mary Walters and Perkins joined Jurusik on the podium in that event palcing third and fourth, respectively.
Sarah Moody was another top finisher for SCU. She placed second in 3-Meter Diving with a score of 388.55.
Another highlight for the Wildcats was seeing team captain
Kelley Holmes drop over 30 seconds in the mile swim to qualify for the MIAC Championships.
The team returns to the Macalester pool at 10 am on Saturday for day two of their final tuneup meet before the MIAC Championships.
