The St. Kate's hockey team beat Robert Morris, a NAIA school from Chicago, 1-0 Saturday afternoon at Ridder Arena.
Michaela Michaelson scored the game-winning goal, just 55 seconds into the second period. Anna Sombrio was credited with the assist.
The Wildcats put 35 shots on goal, while holding Robert Morris to 22. St. Kate's out-shot the Eagles 18-4 in the second period.
Erica Pitzen recorded the shutout at goaltender, turning away all of Robert Morris's 22 shots, including 14 in the third period.
The Wildcats travel to St. Olaf on Saturday, January 23rd. They return home on the following day, Sunday the 24th to host St. Olaf at 2:00 p.m.
