Swimming & Diving Honored for Academic Excellence

The St. Kate's swimming and diving team has been named a fall 2009 Scholar All-American team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The Wildcats tied RIT and Vassar College with the eighth best team GPA in the country. SCU finished with a 3.45 team GPA.

Gerten Named MIAC Athlete of the Week

St. Catherine University junior goaltender Mel Gerten has been named MIAC Women's Hockey Athlete of the Week after stopping 59 of 60 shots she faced in the Wildcats weekend series against Bethel. A complete copy of the MIAC Office release is available here.

USCHO features Wildcats Hockey

US College Hockey Online (USCHO) recently recognized the St. Kate's hockey team's strong start to their season in this feature story. The Wildcats, who improved to 9-3 in the MIAC and 13-4 overall with their series sweep of Bethel this past weekend, have begun receiving votes in the USCHO national polls. The team also has their sights set on a new school record for wins and an MIAC playoff berth.

St. Kate's Hockey Wins in Overtime

The St. Kate’s hockey team won an overtime thriller 1-0 against Bethel University Saturday night at Ridder Arena. It is the Wildcats’ fourth win in their last five games.

St. Kate's Hoops Tops St. Mary's 67-57

The Wildcat basketball team defeated St. Mary's 67-57 Saturday afternoon in Winona. Laura Kalbfell finished with 23 points and 6 rebounds and Molly Peterson had 15 points and 8 rebounds.
